Why Standard Subtraction Fails for Exact Age
A common mistake is simply subtracting the birth year from the current year (e.g., 2026 - 2000 = 26). This ignores month and day boundaries, creating discrepancies of up to a full year. Our calculator uses precise calendar-boundary arithmetic:
