How does WASA calculate Water and Sewer demands?

What government subsidies apply to 3 Marla and 5 Marla homes?

Homes up to 3 Marla receive a monthly government subsidy of Rs. 368 (reducing full tariff of Rs. 718 down to Rs. 350). Homes between 3.1 and 5 Marla receive a Rs. 438 monthly subsidy (reducing full tariff of Rs. 938 down to Rs. 500).

How are Commercial and Industrial WASA connections categorized?

Commercial connections are categorized from Category A1 to H based on WASA assessment and connection size (ranging from Rs. 1,000/month for Category A1 up to Rs. 31,603/month for Category H). Check your paper WASA bill to verify your exact assigned category.

What is the late payment surcharge on WASA bills?

WASA applies a 10% late payment surcharge if the bill is paid after the specified due date. The surcharge applies strictly to overdue payments and is not charged if paid on or before the due date.

Are Karachi and Islamabad water bills included?

No. WASA (Water and Sanitation Agency) operates under the Punjab Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department. Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KWSC/KWSB) operates under Sindh provincial water laws, while Islamabad Capital Development Authority (CDA) operates under Federal bylaws with distinct flat rate schedules.
